Carpentariaacuminata - Carpentaria Palm - Rapid growth rate, to over 30 feet. Very sturdy, provides good shade. Medium salt tolerance, versatile.
Bismarkianobilis - Bismark Palm - One of the most majestic and sturdy of all palms. Large silver fan leaf. Growth to 25' or more. Large.
Archontophoenixalexandrae - Alexander Palm - Slender and tall. Nice when several are planted together. Growth up to 30 feet or more over time.

Caryotamitis - Fishtail Palm - A clumping palm, use in full sun or full shade. Seeds may be irritating to some people's skin. If so, remove them before they mature.
Chamadoreaelegans - Neantha Bella Palm - A very small growing palm, maybe to 5 feet. Prefers some shade. Clumping.
Chamaedorea 'Florida Hybrid' - BambooPalm - Flowers are FRAGRANT. Growth to about 8 feet, clumping. Spreads by seed. Trunks are similar to Bamboo.
Chrysalidocarpuslutescens - Areca Palm - Golden cane palm, good screen. Clumping growth habit. Likes moisture.
Cocosnucifera - Coconut Palm - Several varieties available, dwarf and tall, green and golden. EDIBLE. Salt and wind tolerant.
Dypsisdecaryi - Triangle Palm - Crown grows in a triangular shape. Use in full sun or part shade, prefers some moisture. Slow growth.
Howeafosteriana - Kentia Palm - One of the highest quality palms. When used in the landscape, partial shade is best. Moderate to high moisture.
Hyophorbelagenicaulis - Bottle Palm - A very sturdy palm, with a trunk that is large at the base getting thinner at the top. Hence 'bottle' name. Growth to 20 feet+. SALT tolerant.
Hyophorbeverschaffeltii - Spindle Palm - Prefers some shade. Moderate moisture. Very hardy, wind tolerant. Trunk shaped like a spindle.
Licualagrandis - Licuala Palm - A small, slow growing palm. Recommended for the collector rather than the beginner. Very sensitive.
Livistonachinensis - Chinese Fan - Commonly used as a filler palm near houses, but this is NOT recommended. They tend to become too large, as they can grow to 40 feet or more.
Phoenixcanariensis - Date Palm - A majestic, large growing palm, EDIBLE fruits. Medium to low moisture requirements. Use in containers, or in the
landscape. Growth to 60 feet or more. Succeptible to disease.
Rhapisexcelsa - Lady Palm - A small, elegant, clumping palm, growth to about 8 feet. Best in partial shade.
Sabaldominguensis - Sabal Palm - Relatively uncommon in The Bahamas. Large, slow growth, up to 40 feet or more.
Syagrusromanzoffiana - Queen Palm - Large growth, relatively fast. Medium moisture requirements. Full sun or part shade. Use in containers or in the landscape. Do not plant near power lines.
Washingtoniarobusta - Washingtonia Palm - A large, fast growing palm, up to 80 feet in 20 years. Very strong and wind tolerant.
