Archontophoenix alexandrae - Alexander Palm - Slender and tall. Nice when several are planted together. Growth up to 30 feet or more over time.

Caryota mitis - Fishtail Palm - A clumping palm, use in full sun or full shade. Seeds may be irritating to some people's skin. If so, remove them before they mature.

Chamaedorea 'Florida Hybrid' - Bamboo Palm - Flowers are FRAGRANT. Growth to about 8 feet, clumping. Spreads by seed. Trunks are similar to Bamboo.                                              
Chrysalidocarpus lutescens - Areca Palm - Golden cane palm, good screen. Clumping growth habit. Likes moisture.

Howea fosteriana - Kentia Palm - One of the highest quality palms. When used in the landscape, partial shade is best. Moderate to high moisture.

Hyophorbe lagenicaulis - Bottle Palm - A very sturdy palm, with a trunk that is large at the base getting thinner at the top. Hence 'bottle' name. Growth                                                                                        to 20 feet+. SALT tolerant.

Sabal dominguensis - Sabal Palm - Relatively uncommon in The Bahamas. Large, slow growth, up to 40 feet or more.
Syagrus romanzoffiana - Queen Palm - Large growth, relatively fast. Medium moisture requirements. Full sun or part shade. Use in containers or in the                                                                                        landscape. Do not plant near power lines.
Washingtonia robusta - Washingtonia Palm - A large, fast growing palm, up to 80 feet in 20 years. Very strong and wind tolerant.
