Brunfelsia australis.............................................Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow - Bloom starts as purple 1st day, pink 2nd day, and white 3rd day, hence the name. This plant tends to have very high nutritional needs, and will typically require nutritional supplements.

Acalypha hispida.................................................Cat Tail, Chenille - Flowering shrub, red flowers look like the tail of a cat! Can get to be quite a large shrub, up to 10 feet or more if not controlled. Takes well to heavy pruning, the cuttings can be propagated to create more plants. The groundcover variety grows to only 6 inches or so, and spreads horizontally.

Bird Of Paradise Orange....................................Strelitzia reginae - Clumping growth habit, prefers a touch of light shade, or full sun. Magnificent bloom.

Barleria cristata....................................................Bluebell Barleria, Phillipine Violet - A low shrub, deep green foliage. Spreading. Great when used in the back edge of annual or perennial beds, or as a potted specimen

African Bush Daisy..............................................Gameolepsis, Euryops - Yellow daisy-like flowers. Year-round flowering. Growth to about 3 feet in most Nassau locations. In California, Florida, etc, the plant can get up to 5 feet, possibly in Grand Bahama or Abaco it may do this, as the climate is somewhat cooler than in Nassau. Prefers full sun or partial shade. Average moisture requirements. Propagate by cuttings.

Brunfelsia americana.........................................Lady of the Night - FRAGRANT only at night, even though the white, trumpet shaped flowers are open during the day as well. This is a lovely plant with deep green foliage, that grows on stems that are cane like in their growth habit. Clumping, with growth up to 10 feet.
