Bahama Cassia..............................................Cassia bahamensis, Stink Pea - NATIVE. Will grow in very poor, dry conditions. Shrub or tree. Bright yellow flowers. If                                                                                desired as a tree, some training will be necessary to encourage growth away from a shrub form to a tree form.
Bauhinia purpurea..........................................Hong Kong Orchid Tree, Poor Man's Orchid Tree - Flowering tree, spreading. Can be messy and have pesky insect                                                                                     problems, mainly affected by scale and whitefly. This can be ok, as  these pests will go to the Bauhinia, and not more                                                                                desirable plantings.Often no treatment is needed. Flowers are orchid-like in appearance.

Not often available, red flowering variety, much smaller flowers and growth than regular                                                                                      Bauhinia. This variety is very difficult to find, and is not always available. Special ordering may be needed.

Best when left unpruned! Let 'em go!
